Zachary Lewis Garner, 19, of North Charleston, SC, died Saturday, January 17, 2015. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in the Old Fort Baptist Church, 10505 Dorchester Road at 11:00 am. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the church. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.

Zachary was born January 6, 1996 in West Point, NY, son of Ches Hobbs Garner and Lisa Arlette Lewis Garner. He was a graduate of Fort Dorchester High School. He was an Eagle Scout who loved to hunt, fish, go "muddin" in his truck and was a great friend to everyone he met. He worked at Geralds and formerly Chick-fil-A on Dorchester Road.

He is survived by his mother, Lisa Lewis Garner of North Charleston, SC; father, Ches H. Garner of Dearing GA; two sisters, Elizabeth Jo Garner Fahey and her husband Seamus K. Fahey of Los Angeles, CA and Grace Katherine Garner; brother, Gavin Lee Garner; maternal grandparents, Robert J. and Margaret D. Lewis all of North Charleston, SC; paternal grandmother, Joyce H. Garner of Dearing, GA; special uncle, Jerry M. Garner of Gordon, GA; and several aunts and uncle; and extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James M. Garner.
