Woodrow W. Davis

Entered into eternal rest Sunday evening, March 20, 2011, Woodrow W. Davis, widower of Lillian Winn Davis. Residence, Ravenel, South Carolina.  The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Sauldam Baptist Church Friday, March 25, 2011 at 2:00pm.   Interment to follow in Sauldam Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 5 until 7 pm.  Memorials may be made to Sauldam Baptist Church, 5945 County Line Road, Ravenel, SC.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL.

Born January 15, 1914 in Ravenel, SC, Woodrow was the son of Jesse M. Davis and Mary Doyle Davis.  He was a member of Sauldam Baptist Church in Ravenel and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a painter.

Survivors include three sons: W. Wilson Davis, Jr., Donald E. Davis, and Leroy M. Davis; two daughters: Pamela D. Gamache and Debra D. Fender all of Ravenel, SC; a sister: Ruth J. Veronee of Charleston; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
