Wilson Arsburn Scott

August 12, 1920 — February 28, 2011

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of February 28,  2011, Wilson Arsburn Scott, husband of Eula Lee  Ammons  Scott of  North  Charleston, SC.  The relatives and friends of Mr. & Mrs. Wilson Arsburn Scott are invited to attend his funeral service in Deer Park Baptist Church, 8875 University Blvd., North Charleston, SC on Saturday,  March 5, 2011, at 1:00  PM.  Interment to follow at the Mount Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery, Mount Olivet Road, Cross, SC.


 The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.       Mr. Scott  was born on August 12,  1920  in Cross, SC the son of George Cleveland Scott  and Ruth Garrett Scott.  He was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served during World War II. Mr. Scott worked as a production employee at the Charleston Naval Shipyard.  He was also a farmer and a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and music.  Mr. and Mrs. Scott were charter members of Deer Park Baptist Church.


He  is survived by his wife,  Eula A. Scott of North Charleston, SC; four sons, Wilson A. Scott, Jr. ( Sylvia) of Norman, OK; Thomas David Scott (Annabelle) and Larry R. Scott of North Charleston, SC and Michael W. Scott, of Moncks Corner, SC; two daughters, Linda S. Lentz (Fred), of Charleston, SC,  and Dottie S. Barrentine (Larry) of Moorehead City, NC; two sisters, Elizabeth S. Sweat of Vance, SC,  and Lola Mae Sanders of Aiken, SC; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Deer Park Baptist Church, 8875 University Blvd., North Charleston, SC 29406 or Mount Olivet Baptist Church, 2473 Highway 6, Cross, SC 29436.
