Wilson Pinckney "Buck" Gossett, 91, of Wando, South Carolina, husband of Carol Rush Gossett passed Wednesday, June 18, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 23, 2014 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens.

Buck was born March 24, 1923 in Whitmire, South Carolina, son of the late Robert Pinckney Gossett and Eva McAbee Gossett. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of the Wando Baptist Church. A life member of the Etiwan Lodge #95, Buck retired from the South Carolina Highway Patrol after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the State Troopers Association. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and working on projects around the house.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Carol Gossett; his children, Barry Gossett (Fran) of North Charleston, SC, Melanie Gossett Sanchez of California; Scott Gossett (Michelle) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Shaune Gossett (Jenny Whittle) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
