Wilma Ray Willis

Wilma Ray Elsey Willis, 88, of Charleston, SC, widow of Charles Allen Willis, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011. The friends and relatives of Wilma Willis are invited to attend her Funeral Service at the Graveside in White Church Cemetery, Ravenel, SC at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 14, 2011. ARRANGEMENTS BY J. HENRY STUHR WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Willis was born in Ravenel, SC on February 12, 1923, daughter of the late George and Joanna Bivens Elsey. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and her many friends.
She is survived by her children, Elliott Willis and his wife, Linda of Charleston, SC, Claudette Hiott and her husband, Glenn of Charleston, SC, and Arnold Willis and his wife, Tina of Goose Creek, SC; her grandchildren, Tessa, Rhonda, Rusty, Alan, Melissa, and Holly; her great-grandchildren, Brandi, Lynn, Angela, Jena, Marty, Mac, Mason, Brett, Russell, Grace, and River; her great-great-granddaughter, Megan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael, and her great-grandson, Michael Elliott, as well as her brothers, Thurmon, Leroy, Leonard, Eugene, Wilford, Sinclair, and Greely.
