Wilma Jean Mappus, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, July 24, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 405 King Street at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Downtown Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. 

Wilma was born March 18, 1938 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Theodore William Mappus, Jr. and Ernestine Hermine Rosebrook Mappus. She was a graduate of St. Andrew's Parish High School and a retired legal secretary for Jack P. Brickman, Attorney at Law. Wilma was well known for her “quick wit”, often surprising those around her with well-timed responses. She loved cats and was Mom to her fur baby Felix. She was a loving daughter who selflessly cared for her late mother. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed. 

Wilma is survived by her brother, G. Frederick Mappus (Sandra); and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Dr. Theodore "TW" Mappus, R. Julian Mappus and Charles E. Mappus.
