Willie R. Marks, 91, of Cameron, South Carolina, husband of Sandra Boddie Marks, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 8, 2024. His Memorial Service with Navy Honors will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Thursday, one hour prior to the service. 

Willie was born October 5, 1932 in Claxton, Georgia, son of the late Jessie H Marks and Myrtice Warren Marks. He joined the US Navy in 1951, and served until honorably discharged in 1955. He worked for Western Electric for nearly 40 years. He loved fishing and all things mechanical, and being the reference for all when it came to helping others with anything broken. 

He is survived by son, Michael Robert Marks of Charleston, SC; daughter, Patty Ann Lanham of Charleston, SC. As well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Lorene Hodge Marks; daughter, Faye Marks Dubois; and granddaughter, Samantha Lee Marks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
