Willie Burnest Lewis

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of May 17, 2012, Willie B. Lewis, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Cecilia Graham Lewis. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Willie B. Lewis are invited to attend his funeral service in the Worship Center of Cathedral of Praise, 3790 Ashley Phosphate Road, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Pauley Swamp Cemetery, Conway, SC at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Sunday in the Chapel at Cathedral of Praise from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Born July 28, 1927 in Conway, SC, Willie was the son of Kenneth Everett and Macie Williams Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a member of Cathedral of Praise. He was a United States Army Air Corp veteran and was a retired Woodcrafter with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Surviving are his wife Cecilia Lewis of 62 1/2 years of North Charleston; three sons, Larry Lewis and wife Donna of Charleston, Mike Lewis and wife Dean of Charleston, Kenneth Lewis and wife Kelly of Hollywood; a sister, Lena Mae Doscher of Charleston; three brothers, Wilbur E. Lewis, Hal Deen Lewis and Tommy Everett Lewis all of Conway, SC; six grandchildren, Tabitha and Adam Lewis, Megan Lewis Turner (Luke), Macie Lewis-Ammons (David), Chris Prophater (Leah), Jessica Lewis; and five great-grandchildren.
