William Walter Yaun

William "Billy" Walter Yaun, Jr., 76, of Johns Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 26, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Billy was born October 2, 1940 in Charleston, South Carolina. He was the son of the late William Walter Yaun, Sr. and Mattie Blocker Yaun. Billy was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired outside machinist with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Billy attended Stono Baptist Church.

He is survived by his brother, Lewis A. Yaun of Johns Island, SC; and two sisters, Janie Y. Fitch (Jimmie) of North Charleston, SC, and Nancy Y. Garrett (Gilbert) of Pelzer, SC. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother John Albert Yaun.
