William Bowman Wood, 76, of Summerville, South Carolina, died Monday, April 27, 2015. His memorial service will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., North Area Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Road at 1:00 pm. Inurnment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm in Stuhr's North Area Chapel.

William was born January 6, 1939 in San Diego, California, son of the late Sedgwick Taylor Wood and Eveline Wood. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the US Air Force and an over the road driver for Werner Truck Lines.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Rebecca (Paul L. Lind II) Lind of Charleston, SC; two stepsons, Ardis (Pam) Ferguson of Columbia, SC, Kenneth (Marian) Ferguson of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Renee Madden, Nathan Madden, Christopher Ferguson, Greg Ferguson, Robert Maynard, Christina Maynard; three great-granddaughters, Molly Ferguson, Maeve Ferguson, Callie Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Franky Wood.
