William Eugene White

William "Billy" Eugene White, Jr., 58, husband of Sharon Thames White of Huger, SC passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011.  The relatives and friends of William "Billy" White, Jr. are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the graveside in Wilson Cemetery, 761 Wilson Cemetery Road, Awendaw, SC at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.  The family will receive friends at the home following the service.

 Billy was born February 22, 1952 in Rimini, South Carolina, Son of the late William Eugene White, Sr. and Edna Murray White. He served in the United States Marine Corps and attended Mt. Olivet Pentecostal Holiness Church.  He was also a retired journalist, writing articles for newspapers and magazines.

 He is survived by his wife of 5 years, Sharon Thames White of Huger, SC; daughter, Elizabeth White of Atlanta, GA; step-daughters, Cheryl Dioti and her husband, Fabio, of McClellanville, SC and Carrie Hodge and her husband, Jasper, of Summerville, SC; two step-grandchildren, Caleb and Alexis and many cousins. 

The family requests that memorials be made the Veterans Victory House, 2461 Sidney's Road, Walterboro, SC  29488.
