William David VanHook, aged 79, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Mary White VanHook. The family will hold a celebration of life in his honor this spring.

Born on June 6, 1947, in Blue Ridge, Georgia, William was the son of the late William Young VanHook and Martha Washington VanHook. He leaves behind his cherished family: his wife Mary; daughter Allyson Conklin and her husband Kevin; son Jon VanHook and his wife Kimmie; granddaughters Claire VanHook, Abigail Conklin, Samantha VanHook, and Carson VanHook. He is also survived by his sister Nancy VanHook and her husband Tom Beckwith, sister-in-law Betty Peterson and her husband John Peterson, brother in law John White and nieces and nephews.
