William Edward Vaden, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, SC died Thursday, January 19, 2012, in a local hospital.
Born August 12, 1929 in Charleston, SC he was one of three children of John B. Vaden and Elizabeth Martin Vaden. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired machinist from the Charleston Naval Shipyard.
Mr. Vaden is survived by his son, William E. Vaden, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Moncks Corner, SC; daughter, Carolyn Murray and her husband Paul of Hanahan, SC; twin brother, John B. Vaden and his wife Doris of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister-in-law, Evelyn Vaden of Charleston, SC; niece, Joan Vaden Younglund of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren: Brian Wayne Back of San Marcos, TX, Kellie Michelle Williams of Moncks Corner, SC, John R. Heinsohn of Chesapeake, VA, William D. Murray and Kevin Murray both of Hanahan, SC; great-grandchildren: Phoenix Back, Margaret Williams, Elizabeth Williams. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles B. Vaden.
The graveside service will be held at Magnolia Cemetery, Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Saturday, January 21, 2012 between 4:00 and 6:00 pm.
