William Jerry Truesdale, Sr., 82, of Huger, South Carolina, husband of Rosella "Faye" Moore Truesdale entered into eternal rest Tuesday, February 8, 2022. His funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm, followed by interment with military honors at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. The family will receive friends Saturday an hour prior to the service. Please honor the family's wishes and wear a mask.

Jerry was born September 13, 1939, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Cecil W. Truesdale and the late Vernie Cooper Truesdale. He enjoyed life in the Lowcountry, from hunting and fishing to working at the SC Ports Authority where he retired as a Cargo Supervisor. Jerry was a charter member of Sullivan's Island Baptist Church, an honorary member of Awendaw Baptist Church, a proud Navy veteran and a member of the Ft. Moultrie Masonic Lodge. While he was known for all these things, he will ultimately be remembered for the way he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Faye M. Truesdale of Huger, SC; son, Jay Truesdale (Carole) of Moncks Corner, SC; daughter, Trenda Mobley (Dean) of Huger, SC; two grandchildren, Billy Truesdale and Tiffany Mobley; twin brother, Terry Truesdale (Nina) of FL; sister, Jeanie Heath of Mt. Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews who dearly loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Donald Truesdale, Jackie Wheeler, and Loyce Dysart.
