William James (Jim) Tindal, Jr., 68, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Brenda A. Kittrell Tindal entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 26, 2017. The family will receive friends Sunday January 29, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. where a Eastern Star Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Monday January 30, 2017 at the graveside with Masonic Service in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 2:00 p.m.
Jim was born November 9, 1948 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late William James Tindal, Sr. and Ailene Cox Tindal. He was a graduate of Carlisle Military School, North Greenville Junior College, and Baptist College of South Carolina. He was a retired City of Charleston Public Service Storm Water Department Superintendent. Jim was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church, a lifetime member of SCV Camp Fort Johnson #1201, SCV #27 South Carolina Volunteer Infantry, and Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was past Master of James Island #396, AFM, and past Worthy Patron of James Island Order of the Eastern Star #284.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda A. Kittrell Tindal, daughter and son-in-law, Angela J. and John Bradley (Brad) Copleston; three granddaughters, Hallie Isabella Copleston, Abigail Dorothy Copleston, and Madison Olive Copleston all of James Island, SC sisters and brother-in-laws, Jackie and Lesseley Redmon of James Island, SC, Betty Ann and John R. Wilson of West Ashley, SC and James Rubin (Jimmy) and Rene Kittrell of James Island, SC, Dorothy Louise Northern of Bloomfield, IN; nieces and nephews.
