William Charles Thierfelder

William Charles Thierfelder, Jr., 87, widower of Hilda D. Thierfelder, of North Charleston, SC died peacefully at his residence on Saturday, April 21, 2012.

Born September 16, 1924, in Beaman, MO, he was the son of the late William C. Thierfelder, Sr. and Lydia Helena Leutung Thierfelder. He retired from Westvaco as an electrician and was a former treasurer of IBEW. He was also a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Hanahan, SC.

Mr. Thierfelder is survived by his son, William "Billy" C. Thierfelder, III (Lynda) of Goose Creek, SC; two daughters, Merlyn Kay Hagenberg (Lee) and Loryce Marie Stephens (Don) both of Hanahan, SC; 6 grandchildren, William "Charles" Thierfelder IV (Kimberly), Bryan Christopher Thierfelder, Daniel Warren Crane, Jennifer Hancock (Billy), Missy Stephens, Jaime Morris (Ryan); 3 great-grandchildren, Caroline G. Thierfelder, Lauryn E. Thierfelder and Kolton C. Thierfelder; brother, Fred Nickoles Thierfelder, sister, Lillian Jean Ford and nurse Becky Pettry. He was preceded in death by a son, Carlton Ray Thierfelder; brother, Melvin Charles Thierfelder, and sisters, Elsie Louise Lyons, Laura Lydia Glenn, Hilda Marie Cooper, Emma Lucille Cooper, Audrey Virginia Duckworth.

The memorial service will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
