William Thomas "Bill" Ruperd

William Thomas "Bill" Ruperd, 80, beloved husband of Barbara Riddle Ruperd entered into eternal rest with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 21, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 22, 2017 in Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3075 Bees Ferry Road at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens .

William was born July 27, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Gerald and Dorothy Dixon Ruperd. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, a Scoutmaster for 24 years of Troops 12 39, and was an active member of Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Besides his wife of 53 years, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his four daughters, Cheryl R. Morse of Alabama, Dawn R. Thomas, Kerri R. Kennedy (Ben) all of Charleston, SC, Robin R. Dyches (Jimmy) of North Charleston, SC; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and his brother, Walter R. Ruperd of Kansas City, KS. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna C. Ruperd.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3075 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414 or a charity of one's choice.
