William Dale Ribbeck, Sr., 88, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, husband of the late Glenda Fay Ribbeck entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 6, 2024. His Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 in Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Ave., N. Charleston, SC at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 11:30 am in J. Henry Stuhr Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Rd., N. Charleston, SC 29406.
William was post humously born August 13, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late William August Ribbeck and Carlie Olivia Cunningham Ribbeck. Dale was raised on a farm in Medina, OH. After finishing high school, he joined the US Navy and served 26 years retiring as Master Chief Boatswain's Mate Master Diver. He enjoyed playing poker. Most of all he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his daughters: Karen Collins (Jim) of Williston, SC and Cheryl Arnold (Tim) of Johns Island, SC; five grandchildren: Hayley Feldman (Jesse) of Santa Monica, CA, Garrett Arnold (Summer) of Johns Island, SC, Lindsay Collins (Jeremy) of North Charleston, SC, Madelaine Land (Jeremiah) of Williston, SC, and Melanie Vaughn (Brooks) of Johns Island, SC; twelve great-grandchildren; niece, Amy Baker of Akron, OH; and cousin, Dorothy of Columbus, OH. Dale was predeceased in death by his son, William D. Ribbeck, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC.
