William Henry Ray

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of October 8, 2010, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, William Henry Ray, husband of Alice Fling Booze Ray.  Residence, James Island, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Ray are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:00 am in Fort Johnson Baptist Church. Interment, Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Sunday between 5 and 7 pm. Mr. Ray was born March 24, 1922 in Derry, Pennsylvania, the son of Albert Ray and Emma Campbell Ray.  He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church. Mr. Ray retired as a Real Estate Agent with the Sherman Agency. He was predeceased by his 1^st wife of 52 years, Lillian Smith Ray.  He is survived by his wife of James Island, SC; one son: Dr. W. Steven Ray (Maureen) of Johns Island, SC; one daughter: Sylvia Ray Ward (John) of Chapin, SC; one brother: Cyrus Ray of Merritt Island, FL; two sisters: Florence R. Cochran of Latrobe, PA and Alice R. Fitzgerald of Latrobe, PA; two step-sons: Charles E. Booze (Pam) and William S.
