William "Bill" Carrington Price, Sr.

William Carrington Price, Sr. "Bill" 104, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of the late Beatrice Snyder Price, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 25, 2022 at NHC Rehabilitation Healthcare Center.  His memorial service will be Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 1:00 pm, at  J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, Charleston, SC 29414. The family will receive friends  following the service.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel.

William was born June 27, 1918 in Appomattox, Virginia, son of the late Edward Traynham Price and the late Claire Fitzpatrick Price. Bill graduated in 1941 from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering.  He spent 28 years serving in United States Army Corp of Engineers.  Bill received a Bronze Star while serving in the European theater of operations during World War II and retired as a Colonel.  He went on to retire from Allied Corporation after working 30 years.  

He is survived by sons, William C. Price, Jr. (Theresa) of Olar, SC;  Edward Hobson Price (Betty) of Yonges Island, SC, Richard C. Degener (Jan) of Michigan; daughter, Carolyn J. Vrooman (Larry) of Ohio; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
