William Michael "Mike" Smith

William Michael "Mike" Smith, 79, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 2, 2025.

William was born June 12, 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Tolbert Lee Smith and the late Jewel Ophelia Cantrell Smith. Mr. Smith was a graduate of North Charleston High School where he was an active athlete and wore the Blue Devils baseball uniform with pride. Later in life he went on to pursue a career as a Logistics Manager at Texaco.

He is survived by a daughter, Laurin Smith Collar (William Dean Collar, III) of Mount Pleasant, SC; and two grandchildren, Bates Kenneth Collar and Laney Smith Collar. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Bates Smith.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
