William Andrew McClellan, 69, of Mt. Pleasant SC passed away June 24, 2026.

Andy was the son of the late Leland Moore McClellan and Shirley Richards McClellan. Born April 15, 1957, the 2nd of 4 children, Andy was raised in McClellanville and on the Isle of Palms. He loved the water more than anything, from honing his swan dives off the outriggers of shrimp boats, to surfing as a teen, and fishing commercially as an adult. In addition to working on the water, Andy was a first class electrician, having been taught by our father while still in his teens, he worked some big projects including the V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant and the Goose Creek Power station.

Andy is survived by his children, Elle Andrea McClellan and John Andrew McClellan (Mary Gardner), and granddaughter Phaedra Aislyn McClellan. His siblings, Leland McClellan Jr (Elisabeth), Barbara McClellan Geisman (Joel Munn), and Jena McClellan Davis (Bob).

The Family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Health and Rehab for their excellent care of Andy.

There will be a graveside service Saturday, July 11, at 11:00 am in the McClellanville Cemetery, Old Cemetery Rd., McClellanville.
