Entered into eternal rest Friday, May 4, 2012, William "Bubba" Cooper Hightower, 59, husband of Elizabeth Triplett Hightower of Moncks Corner, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Hightower are invited to attend his funeral service in Moncks Corner United Methodist Church, 200 North Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens, 635 Highway 6, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, Monday, May 7, 2012 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.
Bubba was born August 30, 1952 in Charleston, SC, the son of Cooper Hightower and Elizabeth Creech Hightower. He was the co-owner of Hightower Construction. Bubba was a life member of Berkeley Masonic Lodge #269, Omar Shrine Temple, South Carolina Waterfowl Association, United States Golf Association, and South Carolina Golf Association.
He is survived by his wife, Libby Hightower of Moncks Corner; 2 sons: William Cooper Hightower, Jr. and his wife Marcia of Summerville, SC, and Russell Jordan Hightower of Hanahan, SC; his father, Cooper Hightower of Santee, SC; 2 brothers: Arthur Wayne Hightower and his wife Sandy, and James Faber Hightower and his wife Pam, all of Mount Pleasant, SC; 2 granddaughters: Ellie and Caroline Hightower; mother-in-law, Betsy Jordan Triplett of Florence, SC, and many extended family members.
