William Grant Heigold, Ph.D. 79, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, November 4, 2013.
His Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 8, 2013, in J. HENRY STUHR, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, at 2:00 p.m.
Bill was born February 8, 1934, in St. Louis, MO, son of E. "Eddie" Heigold and Margaret Grant Heigold and step-son of Bertha Siedler Heigold. He held an undergraduate degree from Washington University, a Doctorate from the University of Illinois and was a former Fullbright Scholar. Dr. Heigold retired as a reference librarian from Maryville University.
He is survived by his friend of long standing, Jon R. Alley of Charleston, SC.
