William Joseph Hartley

William Joseph Hartley, Jr., 74, of Johns Island, South Carolina, husband of Faye Eadie Hartley entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 2, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 in First Baptist Church of Johns Island, 3483 Maybank Hwy, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Johns Island Churchyard. The family will receive friends Saturday in the Church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC.

Willie was born April 8, 1941 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late William Joseph Hartley, Sr. and Leatheane Youmans Hartley. He was a Chair Caner with the Association of the Blind for over 20 years and a Member of the First Baptist Church of Johns Island.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Faye Hartley of Johns Island, SC; two daughters, Terri H. (Fred) Schlenker of Orlando, FL, and Kathy A. Hartley of Johns Island, SC; brother, Richard Hartley, Sr., of Charleston, SC two sisters, Janie Lemacks of Johns Island, SC, and Betty (Billy) Hilton of Charleston, SC, five grandchildren, Stevie, Joey, Shaun, Katie and Samantha. He is preceded in death by a son, Gene Hartley.
