William C. "Otto" Haltiwanger, 78, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Mary Reynolds Haltiwanger, died Saturday, August 1, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Otto was born February 6, 1937 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late William C. Haltiwanger Sr. and Bernice Cleapor Haltiwanger. He was retired from the Naval Shipyard. He also worked for Momeier Electric Company. Otto served in the Naval Reserves. He was an animal lover and was a very caring neighbor and friend.

He is survived by his siblings, Taft Dantzler, Norma Williams, Pauline Redell, and Emma Haltiwanger; step-daughter, Lisa Jenkins; two grandchildren; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Davis.
