William Leon Gooding, Sr., 66, of Eutawville, SC, died Monday, May 16, 2016. His funeral service will be held Friday, May 20, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends Friday in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel one hour prior to the service.

William was born October 17, 1949 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Miles Alton Gooding, Sr. and the late Sarah Ott Gooding. William was a US Marine Corps veteran and a retired Civil Service Federal Firefighter. He attended Church of The Epiphany in Eutawville.

He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn "Jacquie" Soldo Gooding of Eutawville, SC; son, William L. Gooding, Jr. of Laurel, MT; brother, Miles Alton Gooding, Jr. (Linda) of Summerville, SC; two sisters, Melinda Gooding Gipe (Tomm) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Vyonne Gooding Craven of North Charleston, SC; stepson, Stephen Holly, Jr. (Catherine) of Charleston, SC; nieces and nephews.
