William Ferguson, Jr., 80, of Charleston, South Carolina, loving husband of Susan Ellen Ferguson, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 26, 2024. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road, at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
William was born October 31, 1943 in Bronx, New York, son of the late William Ferguson Sr. and Barbara Elder Ferguson. He was a graduate of Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, and continued studies at Boston University, the Harvard Kennedy School, and the University of Southern California, Washington, DC Campus. William was Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman Emeritus of The Ferguson Group, an advocacy, consulting, and grants firm in Washington, D.C., and Founder and past CEO of E-Civis. He was an entrepreneur, and astute business visionary, serving as part of the Harbor Entrepreneur Center in Charleston, SC, and was also involved with Co-Lab in Chattanooga, TN.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan Ferguson, of Charleston, SC; his daughter, Jessie Lynn (Sam), and his son, Christopher Ferguson (Annalyse); his grandchildren, Phoenix, Max, and Valentino; his sisters, Sandra Ferguson and Sheila Gremse; and his brother, Andrew Ferguson.
