William Edward Eidson, 74, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Lucile Doughty Eidson passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. His Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

William was born September 20, 1939 in Elkin, North Carolina, son of the late Robert Paul Eidson and the late Doris Harpe Eidson. He was a sales representative. He was a graduate of Fork Union Military School and the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon International Fraternity. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves, in which he achieved the rank of Second Lieutenant.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lucile Doughty Eidson; his children, Rhett Murphy of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Lance Eidson and his wife, Allison of Mt. Pleasant, SC; his brother, Robert Lee Eidson of CA; and his grandchild, Edward William Murphy of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
