William James Detyens, III, 23, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 3:00 pm. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
William was born October 25, 1991 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, son of William James Detyens II and Pamela Allison Detyens Blanchard. He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelors degree in Business and Finance. He was a member of the K.A. Fraternity and was a great motivator of all people he knew. He loved boating, scuba diving, fishing, hunting and loved football. William was also an avid cross fitness enthusiast and enjoyed off road car and motorcycle riding.
He is remembered by his father, William Detyens, II of Wando, SC; his mother, Pamela Detyens Blanchard and her husband, Mike, of Charleston, SC; two brothers, Derek S. Baker of Wando, SC and Robbie L. Detyens of Salt Lake City, UT ; maternal grandparents, Bob and Mary Allison of St. Petersburg, FL; and uncle, Steven Allison of St. Petersburg, FL. He will also be remembered by extended families and many friends.
