William Thomas Davenport

William "Mr. Bill" Thomas Davenport, 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, May 15, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Bill was born March 12, 1932 in Roanoke, Virginia, son of the late Grover C. Davenport and Marie Roberson Robertson. He was a retired salesman with R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.

He is survived by his two sons, John Thomas Davenport, and David Glenn Davenport (Mary) both of Charleston, SC; brother, Charlie Davenport of Mobile, AL; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
