William Frederick Cosby

William Frederick Cosby, 74, of State Road (Elkin), North Carolina, formerly of Charleston, SC, husband of Patricia Rentz Cosby, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 17, 2013. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends at the J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 1:00 pm until time of service. William was born June 22, 1939 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late William L. Cosby and Minnie Monroe Cosby. He was a retired Vice-President of Brendle's and Brenco Inc., located in Elkin, NC. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Cosby of State Road, NC; daughter, Chrysti Cosby of New York, NY; son, William F. Cosby, Jr. of NJ; one grandson, Brandon Rentz Cosby of Leland, NC; and a sister, Virginia Cosby Orton of Charlotte, NC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital Foundation, 180 Parkwood Drive, Elkin, North Carolina 28621.
