William McAstor Boyd

William McAstor Boyd, 50, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Jackie Boyd died Tuesday, June 19, 2018. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Sunday beginning at 2:00 pm. In honor of William, everyone is invited to dress as their best super hero.

William was born November 20, 1967 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of William Ray Boyd and Floride Juanita McManus Boyd. He graduated from Wando High School and worked as a Maintenance Superintendent for the Charleston County Parks and Recreation Department at Wannamaker Park. William was also a Star Wars and super hero enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Boyd of Charleston, SC; daughter, Tiffany Cobb (Brian) of Myrtle Beach, SC; parents, Bill and Juanita Boyd of Summerville, SC; sister, Michelle Morris (Brian) of Summerville, SC; two granddaughters, Victoria Rose Cobb and Natalie Grace Cobb; niece, Allison Morris; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
