William "Bill" Davis Wolfe, Jr.

William Davis Wolfe, Jr., 88, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Rose Basha Wolfe died Tuesday, October 21, 2014. The family and friends of William Wolfe are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, October 24, 2014 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL AT 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens with military honors, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends in the Stuhr's Mount Pleasant Chapel on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.

Bill was born December 10, 1925 in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, son of the late Reverend William Davis Wolfe and the late Bertha Blanche Smith Wolfe. He was a retired Chief Sonar Tech in the United States Navy. Bill was also retired as director of the office of Emergency Preparedness for Charleston County, was an avid golfer and was also a Past President and Life Member of the Charleston Rifle Club.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Wolfe of Mt. Pleasant, three sons, William D. "Buddy" Wolfe, III and his wife, Cindy, of Mt, Pleasant, Glenn C. Wolfe of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Robert P. Wolfe and his wife, Kay, of Atlanta, GA and ; four grandchildren, Glenn, Susan, Katie, and Tara; one great grandchild, Jameson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouse; Mary Elizabeth Wolfe and her husband, Carol Eure, Dora Ellen Wolfe and her husband, Richard Lanier, Samuel Houston Wolfe and his wife, Grace Carpenter Wolfe and Glenn Lee Wolfe.
