William "Bill" Hayne Franklin, III

William "Bill" Hayne Franklin, III, 75, of Edisto Beach, South Carolina, husband of Carolyn Smith Franklin, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 1, 2022. His Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Presbyterian Church on Edisto Island, 2164 Hwy 174 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will follow in the churchyard. The family will greet friends after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Bill was born October 2, 1946 in Newberry, South Carolina, son of William Hayne Franklin, Jr. and Sara Byrd Franklin. He attended Newberry College, earning a Bachelors in Accounting.  He was a retired CPA. After retiring to Edisto Beach, SC, he was an active member of Edisto Lions Club as well as a past president. He loved relaxing on the beach, spending time with his grandkids, enjoying fellowship with friends, and watching his Clemson Tigers play. 

He is survived by his wife of 55 years of Edisto Beach, SC; two sons, Brian D. Franklin and his wife, Monica of Gilbert, SC and Kevin A. Franklin and his wife, Karen of Clemson, SC; three grandchildren, Joel D. Franklin, Ashton E. Franklin, Landon D. Franklin.
