William Chandler Beacham, III, 57, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Rebecca Lewis Beacham died Saturday, July 26, 2014. A Celebration of His Life will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Seacoast Church, 750 Long Point Road at 11:00 am . The family will be at the home, 120 Winding Creek Court, Mt. Pleasant. They will also receive friends at the J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Tuesday, July 29, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm. Chandler was born November 15, 1956 in Greenville, SC, son of Mary Carolyn Lee Boltz and the late William Chandler Beacham, Jr. A graduate of Clemson University and an avid Tiger fan, he was the owner of Cottman Transmissions, a business he passes on to his son. He was an active member of Seacoast Church, a volunteer at East Cooper Hospital, and loved the water, surfing, fishing and boating. He is survived by his wife of 35 years; his mother of Greer, SC; his sons,Wallace "Clay" Clayteen Beacham of Taylors, SC, and Hollis Chandler Beacham of James Island, SC; his daughter, Betty Anne Beacham Fredricks of Taylors, SC; his grandchildren, Braiden Fredricks, Chandler Fredricks, and Andrew Bryce Beacham; and his brothers, Hollis Lee Beacham of Pickens, SC, and James Scott Beacham of Hawaii.Memorials may be made to the Creighton Andrew Lewis Memorial Scholarship, c/o The Citadel Foundation, 171 Moultrie Street, Charleston, SC 29409.
