Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of September 20, 2011, William Mosley Weeks, husband of Marilyn Smith Weeks.  Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William Mosley Weeks are invited to attend the funeral services of the former Saturday, September 24, 2011, at 11:00 am in St. James Episcopal Church. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Friday between 5:00 and 7:00 pm.


Mr. Weeks was born April 2, 1933 in Charleston, SC, the son of Duncan Hayes Weeks, Sr. and Eletha Gardner Weeks. He was a graduate of St. Andrews High School in 1952, a graduate of The Citadel in 1956, served with the United States Marine Corps for two years.  Mr. Weeks was interim president with First Federal and was an agent with State Farm Insurance for thirty-two years on James Island. He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, was the first president of West Ashley Optimist Club, and started the Charleston Barbell Club. He was drafted and played professional baseball for the Cleveland Indians. He was an assistant football coach for the 1968 State Champion for the James Island Rams.


He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; four children: Kenneth H. Weeks (Susan), Mark W. Weeks (Donna), Beth Weeks Galt (Hutch) and Scott A. Weeks (Katyna); Grandchildren: Colby Weeks, Alexa, Taylor, Julianna Weeks, and Kyle Galt; one brother: Duncan Hayes Weeks (Kay).
