Willa Mae Ellis Maples

May 16, 1934 — June 25, 2010

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of June 25, 2010, Willa Mae Ellis Maples.  Residence, Hanahan, SC.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. and Vergie E. Grindstaff Ellis, granddaughter, Laurin K. Lancaster and nephew, Billy S. Ellis. Mrs. Maples was born May 16, 1934 in Graham County, North Carolina.  She was a retired waitress and member of Highland Park Baptist Church.


She is survived by daughter, Brenda K. and husband Alan W. Collins of Plant City, FL; son, Danny N. Maples of Hanahan; daughter, Patricia A. and husband Dean E. Lancaster, with their sons, Dean Elliott, II and Seth Tyler; son, James E. "Boo Boo" and wife Rhonda S. with their children, James Edward, II, Samantha Bailey, and Natalie Ann of Hanahan; daughter, Shirley L. Maples of Hanahan; brothers, Bud Ellis and wife Carol, Gerald Ellis and Larry Ellis and wife Linda, all of Maryville, TN; several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. 


Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, N. Charleston, Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at seven o'clock pm.  Entombment will be held at Carolina Memorial Park Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at eleven o'clock.   Friends may call at Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Tuesday from five o'clock until the service hour.
