Wendy "Rose" Duffie

Wendy "Rose" Huggins Duffie 56, of Charleston, SC, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the Hospice of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant, SC.

Born April 25, 1956 in Conway, SC; she was one of two children of Glen H. Huggins and Betty Snowden Huggins. She was a graduate of Hanahan High School where she enjoyed dancing, cheerleading and gymnastics.

Ms. Duffie is survived by her mother, Betty Snowden Huggins of Hanahan, SC; husband, Tommy Wesley Duffie of Charleston, SC; daughter, Michelle Ciminero Dodd and her husband Travis of Hanahan, SC; sister, Betsy Huggins LeaMond and her husband Patrick of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nephews, Patrick Julian LeaMond and Sullivan Pate LeaMond; grandchildren, Michael "Lendon" Dodd and Madalynn Leigh Dodd; step-son, Craig Duffie and his two children, Jordan "Emily" Duffie and Landon Wesley Duffie; mother-in-law, Margaret Duffie of Orangeburg, SC; and her dog Zoey. She was preceded in death by her father; step-son, Tommy Wesley Duffie, Jr., "Dubo" and father-in-law, Elbert Duffie.

The funeral service will be held at Highland Park Baptist Church, Sunday, July 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road Saturday, July 7, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.
