Wendy Lee Allison

Wendy Lee Allison, 78, of Johns Island, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 11, 2022. She was born July 1, 1943, in Pretoria, South Africa, daughter of the late Frank John Montgomery "Jack" Meaker and the late Doreen McKenzie Meaker. She had a magical connection to animals and loved being visited by dragonflies, hummingbirds and Beauty, the osprey, while she sat on the porch and when she gardened. Wendy loved the Lowcountry, especially down by the river where she could watch the dolphins play. As a travel agent she helped others plan trips all over the world. To those who loved her, she was known as a wonderful "Nana", mother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her children, Lara Lee Allison of Johns Island, Julie Ann Allison of Johns Island, Kevan Michael Allison of Iowa City, IA; sister, Penny Knoesen of New Zealand; and grandchildren, Haley Jameson, and Luke Jameson; and nieces and nephews James and Marianne Knoesen of New Zealand, and Andrew and Claire Allison in South Africa.
