Wells Thomas Mayfield

Wells Thomas Mayfield, 50, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Friday, November 23, 2012 after a brief illness. The friends and family of Wells Mayfield are invited to attend a Celebration of His Life on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the chapel following the service.

Wells was born March 9, 1962 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of William A. Mayfield and Eleanor Patton Mayfield. He attended Wando High School and was a graduate of The College of Charleston. A member of Hibben United Methodist Church, he was a Realtor. Wells loved fishing and shrimping on the Wando River.

He is survived by his father and mother, William A. and Eleanor P.Mayfield of Mount Pleasant, SC; brother, William Glenn Mayfield and his wife, Paulette of Palm Coast, FL; sister, Susan Mayfield Hunnicutt and her husband, Lee of Salida, CO; nephews and nieces, Joseph Raleigh West and his wife, Hall Sprott West, of Charleston, SC, Scott Patton West of New York City, NY, Caroline Mayfield West of Charleston, SC, and William Alexander Mayfield of Palm Coast, FL; and one great-niece, Elliott Scott West of Charleston, SC.
