Warren Phillip Holliday,74 of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina passed peacefully from this earth on Wednesday morning and is remembered for his extraordinary life and the many people that he touched with his generosity and kindness. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2115 N Highway 17, Mount Pleasant, S.C. 29466 at 3:00 p.m. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens 1308 Mathis Ferry Rd. Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464. The family will receive friends Friday, September 30, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd. Mt. Pleasant, S.C. 29464.
Warren was born September 17, 1942 in Charleston, S.C. To most he was simply known as "Mr. Holliday". He cherished his membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the opportunities it afforded him to serve others. Warren was a wonderful father and prominent businessman in the community. He was a friend to many and shared a deep passion for history, Gamecock football, genealogy, metal detection, cars and most importantly auto racing. He lived to help others and valued his family and friends most.
He is survived by his sister Carolyn P. Gilsen (Holliday) of Tucson, AZ and his children, Pamela Holliday Wallin (Jacob) of Sunnyvale, CA; Ben Holliday of Draper, UT; Ross Holliday (Kelley) of Draper, UT; and Lea Holliday of South Jordan, UT; along with his eight grandchildren, John, Sara Jane, Kingsley, Olivia, Spencer, Henry, Kate, and Camden.
