Ward Nelson Moon, 54, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Friday, February 11, 2016. His memorial service will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service.
Ward was born July 17, 1961 in Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, son of the late Lloyd Binford Moon and Joan Coker Ward Moon.
Ward served in the US Army and later taught at Trident Tech. He had a love of the sea and boating. Ward was a member of Seacoast Church.
In addition to his mother, Joan, Ward is survived by his son, Cooper T. Canady; brother, Lloyd B. Moon, Jr. and wife, Sandy, of Fort Walton Beach, FL; cousins; niece and nephews; and his dog, Frisby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd., N. Charleston, SC 29406.
