Wanda Louise Sylvester of John's Island, SC, born October 25, 1947, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2026 surrounded by her family and close friends. She was 78 years old. Private services were held.

Wanda lived a life marked by her devotion to Christ, integrity, and quiet strength. In her professional life, she retired as a Vice President of HUB International Insurance and served most recently as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Southern Mutual Church Insurance Company, where her leadership reflected both skill and steady purpose. She carried herself with dignity and grace, and those who knew her will remember the calm assurance she brought to every season of life led by her strong belief in God.

Wanda was the beloved wife of William Sylvester for 60 years. Wanda is survived by her husband, three sons, pastoral nephew, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three brothers.

Her presence was a blessing to those who knew her, and her legacy will live on in the family she cherished so deeply. Her memory will be held dear by all who loved her, and her life will remain a source of inspiration, comfort, gratitude, and blessing.
