Wanda Jean Payne

Wanda Jean Payne, 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Keith Payne, entered into eternal rest Monday, January 29, 2024. Her graveside service will be held Friday, February 2, 2024 in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road at 12:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

 Wanda was born March 15, 1935 in Valley, Nebraska, daughter of the late Woody Flood and Edith Gay Schneider Flood. Wanda's passions were gardening and taking care of birds. She also enjoyed traveling to different places along side her husband. Wanda was also an avid South Carolina Stingrays fan. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and an overall generous person. 

 She is survived by her son, Steve Payne of Charleston, SC; daughter, Kelly (Percell) Handrop of Aiken, SC; three grandsons, Colton (Lydia) Handrop, Tristan Handrop, Jarod Handrop; sister, Roberta McEvoy of Omaha, NE.

 In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Villwok, and Sandra Flood.
