Walter Marion "Sparky" Green, Jr. of North Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street, at 2:00 p.m., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Burial following in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Walter was born October 12, 1952 in Marion, South Carolina, son of the late Walter Marion Green and Hazel McCracken Green. He was a graduate of James Island High School, where he lettered in football and wrestling and held the school record for sit-ups. Sparky was the owner of Green Concrete Contractors and attended Charleston Baptist Church.

Sparky is survived by his mother of James Island; two sisters, Stacey Aldret (Rick) of Summerville, SC and Lorie Pennington of Charleston, SC; five children: Bonnie Katherine Green of Charlotte, NC, Walter M. Green, III of Ridgeville, SC, Dixie Green of N. Charleston, SC, Tracey Green of Summerville, SC, and Tabitha Green of Virginia Beach, VA; and grandchildren.
