Walter John Grace, 62, passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2026 while celebrating his wedding anniversary at the beach. Walter was born in Troy, NY on June 1st 1964 to Walter (Buddy) and Anne Grace. He was a graduate of LaSalle Institute class of 1982 and HVCC class of 1984. Walt was a dedicated and valued employee as Transportation Manager at Troy Sand & Gravel for the past 20 years.

Walt married Lauren Renna and they recently celebrated 33 years together. Over the years they built a life centered around their two amazing sons, Kyle and Christopher. Walt became immersed in hockey and wrestling. He never missed a game or match or a chance to cheer them on. He was a loyal fan of the NY Rangers, Giants, and Yankees through their ups and downs. Walt was a dedicated and devoted friend to many. He especially enjoyed his neighborhood community and traveling to the Outer Banks with friends and family.

Walt leaves behind his wife, Lauren Renna Grace, his sons Kyle and Christopher, his parents Walter and Anne Grace, his in-laws Chuck and Janice Renna; siblings Kevin (Andrew) Grace; Patrick (Penelope) Grace; Colleen (Anthony) Mauriello; Elizabeth (William) Keeley; brothers in-law Tim (Janet) Renna; Robert Renna; Charles (Maureen) Renna. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as his fur baby and partner in crime, Placid.
