Walter Cook Davis

Walter Cook Davis, 69, of Ladson, SC, husband of Phyllis Hankins Davis entered into eternal rest Monday, March 24, 2014. His funeral service will be held Friday, March 28, 2014 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Walt was born April 2, 1944 in Waverly, TN, son of the late Lake Davis and the late Virginia Cook Davis. He was in the TN Army National Guard for seven years and retired from Alumax/Alcoa.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Phyllis Davis of Ladson, SC; daughters, Tina Louise Barrickman and her husband Larry Wayne Barrickman, Jr. and Bobbie Lynn Davis; grandchildren: Tabbatha Louise Cash, Samantha Nichole Cagle, Cassandra Gabriel Barrickman, Austin Kyle Amos; siblings: Wayne Davis, Winnie Reed, Jo Peek, Hubert Davis, Gail Marrs, Selmond Davis, Brenda West, Roger Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Johnny Carol Davis and Jeff "Buddy" Davis.
