Walter "Allen" Bridges, Jr., 65, of Hollywood, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 21, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Susan Clegg Bridges.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service.

Born on July 6, 1959, in Atlanta, Georgia, Allen was the son of the late Walter Allen Bridges, Sr. and Jane Tanner Bridges. He found immense joy in nature, whether hunting, fishing, or tending to his yard or garden. The great outdoors was his sanctuary, where he saw the beauty and presence of God.

Allen is survived by his loving wife, Susan; his son, Justin; his mother-in-law, Anita Clegg; his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Clegg (Christine & Courtney); and his sisters, Darenda Bridges Nutt (Donnie, Brittany & Casey) and Montine Bridges Powell (Henry, Jessica & Caleb).

He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law, Barney Kenneth Clegg, Sr.; and his brother-in-law, Barney Kenneth Clegg, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association.
