Wadene McKee August, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, died Saturday, February 13, 2016. Her family will hold a private service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.
Wadene was born August 7, 1946 in Augusta, Georgia, daughter of the late Wade Bailey, Jr. and the late Vilma Gulledge Bailey. She was an artist and also worked as a wedding officiant.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine Rogers of Johns Island, SC and Sandy Murrow of Bluffton, SC; five grandchildren, Savannah Rogers, Whitney Murrow, Jonathon Murrow, Kaitlyn Gallagher, and Taylor Murrow; and two great-grandchildren, Brantley Gallagher and Annaleigh Jewell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roper Hospice, 1483 Tobias Gadson Blvd., Suite 208-A, Charleston, SC 29407 or Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Charleston, SC 29464.
